Becas parciales para voluntarios y pasantes - Grants for Volunteer and Study Program This grant is available to Ecuadorian citizens only, who have finished their undergraduate studies in sciences, agronomy or forestry and wish to carry out their thesis research at CEDEVIS / PAJARO BRUJO RESERVE. The grant is available to applicants wishing to study organic agriculture and/or forestry, for a period of 3 to 6 months.

Partial grants may be available to cover part of the costs of a volunteer’s stay in Galapagos.

Cost of volunteer program:

A – Return flight from home country to Ecuador* Varies according to country
B – Return flight from mainland Ecuador to Galapagos Approx. $400
C – National Park Entrance Fee $100
D – Lodging $15 per day
E – Food $15 per day
F – Coordination and logistics $200
G – Internal Transportation Varies according to project
H – Program Materials Varies according to project
I – Personal Spending Allowance Varies

Grants are only available pending funding, and are awarded through a competitive process to those who demonstrate a financial need. Grants are available for specific projects and volunteer profiles, as outlined below. Although specific percentages of funding are outlined below, applicants are encouraged to apply for the least amount of funding possible, as the process is competitive. Should two equally-qualified candidates apply, the candidate who is able to cover a higher percentage of costs will be selected. Volunteers are responsible for covering all remaining costs that are not included in grants, either by paying out-of-pocket, or through alternative sources of funding in their home countries and institutions.

Arts Volunteer Coordinator Grant (Grant 6-007)

Volunteer Artistic Guide Grant (Grant 6-008) - NOT AVALIABLE
